Shail Bala Jain passed B.Sc. (Elect. Engg.) Electronics specialization from DCE in the year 1968, M.Tech. (Electronics & Comm. Engg.) from IIT, Delhi in 1970, and Ph.D. in the field of Digital Signal Processing from Delhi University. She worked as an R&D Engineer with Instrumentation Limited, Kota for a short span of 5 months and left it to take up teaching as her career at her alma mater, DCE in February, 1971. Since 197\ to October, 2002, she was with the faculty of Electronics Engineering Department at Delhi College of Engineering, teaching eourses in Electronics at UG and PG level. Since October, 2002, she is Professor and Head, Electronics & Comm. Engineering Department, Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (only all girls Engineering College in Delhi), a constituent college of GGSIP University at Kashmere Gate. She is a senior member of IEEE and a fellow member I.E.T.E.
